Now I’m even more excited to share what I learned with the world, by educating and collaborating with like-minded developers, engineers, creators, and innovators in VR/AR/XR and other interactive mediums. I also became a sought after speaker where I shared my knowledge of immersive 3D audio with developers who too were discovering the possibilities of this medium. After releasing some of my own 3D audio work and partnering with industry giants including Disney, Google, and Waves, I joined Magic Leap, which was the opportunity that further expanded my expertise in spatial computing.Īt Magic Leap I built and led a world-class team of talented audio designers and programmers, drove the direction of future audio technologies, led the audio UX experience for a new hardware, Magic Leap 1, and worked on several award-winning projects including Tonandi, Create, Undersea, and The Last Light. It was a fun journey, but the technology called me back.Ĭreating spatial audio content through VR in 2015 reintroduced me to combining both of my passions - technology and art. When my aspirations led me to pursue a career as a full-time composer, I composed music for a feature film Mischief Night, contributed to TV series including Supernatural and Agent Carter, and worked on a number of short films and indie games. I honed my software development skills working as a full-stack web developer, where I led the development of massive online platforms for companies like Namco, THQ, and Sony. I do this by directing and designing spatial audio for AR, VR, and XR experiences and by educating developers and platform holders. As a software engineer and audio director my mission is to advance the field of immersive spatial audio in emerging technologies. Years later, I still merge sound and technology for a living. I somehow convinced a nightclub owner that I could provide karaoke entertainment using a borrowed computer and musical keyboard, my music education, and my newly acquired skill of PowerPoint. I started my first successful business at 17, and it was an underground karaoke operation.
